Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Supply Chain Coordinator to join the Richards Bay operations team. You will manage day‑to‑day logistics, inventory and route planning to ensure seamless deliveries within the FMCG sector.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with ERP and SCM tools, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain coordination, logistics, or related operations within FMCG.
• Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing and inventory management.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and supply chain management software.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Operations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage day‑to‑day logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing and inventory management.
• Plan and optimize supply chain routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of FMCG products.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock, preventing stockouts and excess inventory.
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers and transport providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Process purchase orders, track shipments and resolve logistical issues promptly.
• Utilise SCM software and tools to track and analyse operational performance.
