Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to manage transportation and warehousing from our Benoni hub. You will coordinate shipments, monitor stock levels, and liaise with transport providers to maintain a smooth supply chain for FMCG products.

The role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment and proficiency in logistics software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including scheduling shipments and tracking deliveries.
• Oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, stock rotation and space optimization.
• Liaise with suppliers, plants and customers to ensure smooth product flow and on-time fulfillment.
• Prepare and maintain logistics documentation such as shipping manifests and bills of lading.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
