Placements24 seeks an experienced Distribution Manager to oversee the end-to-end distribution network from Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will lead a logistics and warehouse team, optimise operations and drive cost-efficient delivery to customers and retail partners.

The role demands a strong FMCG background, proven leadership, and hands-on experience with WMS and TMS systems to improve service levels and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and distribution management, with FMCG sector preferred.
• Proven ability to manage warehouse operations and transportation effectively.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Experience with WMS and TMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the distribution network including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
• Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery and minimize costs.
• Lead the distribution team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Optimize warehouse operations, including stock control, order fulfillment, and space utilization.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at distribution facilities.
