This is a leadership role responsible for the strategic management, efficiency, and safety of a large fleet of vehicles. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, implement cost-saving measures, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of fleet management principles, maintenance, and driver supervision. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for fleet management, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and service quality.
• Oversee all aspects of fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, repair scheduling, and disposal.
• Manage and lead a team of drivers, dispatchers, and maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of safety, performance, and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all national and local transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Monitor fleet performance metrics, analyze data, and implement improvements to optimize fuel efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance delivery times.
• Develop and manage the fleet operations budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring financial targets are met.
• Implement and manage technology solutions for fleet tracking, telematics, and maintenance management.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for drivers and operational staff.
• Manage insurance claims and incident investigations related to fleet operations.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in fleet management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in managing large and diverse fleets (trucks, vans, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of fleet maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control in a logistics context.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective operational improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisive actions.
• A valid driver's license; a professional driver's permit (PDP) is advantageous.
