Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a large vehicle fleet on site. You will lead a team of mechanics, implement preventative maintenance programs, and drive safety and efficiency across all servicing activities.

You will diagnose and repair heavy-duty vehicles, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulations while mentoring junior staff and promoting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fleet maintenance
• 2+ years in supervisory/leadership role
• Ability to diagnose/repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies and fleet management
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a team of fleet mechanics and technicians.
• Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for all vehicles.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure maintenance work is safe, efficient, and high quality.
• Maintain records of maintenance, parts inventory and service histories.
• Source and manage relationships with external parts suppliers and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and emissions regulations.
• Investigate and resolve vehicle breakdowns promptly.
• Manage maintenance budget and control costs for parts and labor.
• Mentor junior mechanics and promote continuous improvement.
