Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor or senior mechanic with supervisory responsibilities.
• Extensive knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanics, diagnostics, and repair for trucks and transport vehicles.
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategies and fleet management.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and maintenance management software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of maintenance technicians and mechanics.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles.
• Oversee repair work ensuring quality workmanship and service standards.
• Manage spare parts inventory including ordering and stock control.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.
• Manage vendor relationships for specialized repairs or parts.
• Contribute to budget management and identify cost-saving opportunities.
