Job summary

Reinhardt Transport Group (PTY) LTD, through its TRANSMAC and REINHARDT TRANSPORT – NIGEL divisions, is seeking a Fleet Controller to oversee fleet operations, driver coordination and compliance. The role focuses on improving efficiency, safety and service levels while managing schedules and reporting to management.

The ideal candidate has Matric and 2–3 years in fleet management, strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to work long hours including public holidays and

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fleet management including wages, tracking, fuel consumption, route planning and scheduling.
• Coordinate driver schedules, routes and assignments.
• Liaise with drivers, provide updates and resolve issues; track orders and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and COF inspections; arrange services and repairs.
• Generate reports on fleet performance, efficiency and productivity.

A career opportunity exists at TRANSMAC and REINHARDT TRANSPORT – NIGEL, both a division of REINHARDT TRANSPORT GROUP (PTY) LTD for the position of:

FLEET CONTROLLER

Job Summary:

• Fleet Management: Oversee all aspects of fleet management. Monitor and manage fleet operations, wages, tracking, fuel consumption, route planning and scheduling. Constant monitoring of driver and vehicle performance and efficiency & finding ways to improve productivity.
• Driver Management: Coordinate driver schedules, routes and assignments, ensure compliance with regulations and Company policies. Assign and ensure execution of tasks to drivers.
• Communication: Liaise with drivers on a regular basis providing updates and resolving any issues. Track orders and deliveries.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with Company policies and safety standards.
• Vehicles: Coordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure the fleet is maintained, including scheduling of services and COF inspections for vehicles to remain in a safe and roadworthy condition. Monthly inspections and arrangements for services and repairs.
• Reporting: Generate reports on fleet performance, efficiency, productivity and any other reporting required by management.

Requirement:

• Matric
• Previous experience in fleet management (at least 2 – 3 years) or related field
• Knowledge of fleet management and technology i.e. tracking will be an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills as well as organisational abilities
• Sober habits
• Willing to work long hours, public holidays and weekends
• Computer literate and Excel experience (compulsory)
• Own Transport
