Placements24 is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our client’s Fintech team in Benoni, Gauteng, ZA. This office-based role focuses on bridging business needs with technology solutions for financial products and services.

You will gather requirements, define scope, document processes, and support development and implementation throughout the lifecycle, collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within Fintech or financial services.
• Proven experience in gathering and documenting complex business and technical requirements.
• Strong understanding of financial products, processes, and regulatory environments.
• Proficiency in requirements management tools (JIRA, Confluence) and diagramming tools (Visio).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for financial products and systems.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, and development teams to define solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
• Develop use cases, user stories, and process flows to support development efforts.
• Conduct gap analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business objectives.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and status reporting.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in Fintech and business analysis.
