Job summary

Communicate Finance in Randburg, South Africa, is seeking a seasoned Finance Leader to manage monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasting across operational units. You will partner with operations to drive profitability, efficiency and cost control while upholding strong financial governance.

The role requires a CA(SA) with 5+ years of operational and commercial finance experience, and a proven ability to lead teams, improve reporting and automate processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in operational and commercial finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members.

Job Description:

• Prepare, review, and analyse monthly management accounts and operational financial reports
• Ensure accurate reporting of revenue, expenses, margins, profitability, cash flow, and working capital
• Analyse financial results against budgets, forecasts, and operational targets
• Provide commentary on financial variances, trends, risks, and opportunities
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes across operational business units
• Partner with operational managers to improve profitability, efficiency, and cost control
• Support pricing decisions, tenders, contracts, and client profitability reviews
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, company policies, and statutory requirements
• Support internal and external audits and strengthen financial governance processes
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other operational finance functions
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement

Skills & Experience:

• Over 5 years of strong operational finance and commercial finance experience
• Advanced financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling capability
• Experience partnering with operational teams and executive leadership
• Strong understanding of working capital, profitability analysis, and cost management
• Proven ability to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment
