Duties:
- Lead the monthly management reporting process.
- Analyse financial performance against budgets and prior-year results.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Review profitability, revenue, costs, and WIP ageing.
- Oversee monthly journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
- Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls while driving process improvements.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Partner with operational managers to review financial performance and operating expenses.
- Review payroll, stock controls, and project costing.
- Approve accounts payable costs and accounts receivable credit notes.
- Manage debtor performance and cash flow.
- Lead and mentor finance and operational accounting teams.
- Prepare for year-end reporting and audits.
- Support BBBEE audits and assist with HR-related financial matters.
- Conduct branch visits, operational audits, and provide financial support across the business.
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Accounting
- BCom Accounting Honours
Experience:
- SAICA or SAIPA Articles.
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager or in a senior finance leadership role.
- Strong management accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to influence business decisions.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting systems experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Willingness to travel to branches when required.
