Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking an experienced Finance Leader in Gauteng to drive all aspects of financial management, reporting, and planning. You will oversee cash flow, working capital, and liquidity while delivering management accounts and executive reports for decision-making.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled tools adoption, pricing and procurement influence, and building high-performing finance teams in a fast-moving environment. CA (SA) is non-negotiable.

Qualifications

• CA (SA) designation is mandatory.
• 8+ years in a similar role with strong finance expertise.
• Experience in management accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of financial management, reporting, forecasting, and commercial finance.
• Produce accurate monthly management accounts, executive reports, and performance analysis.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic business planning initiatives.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, funding requirements, and liquidity management.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins, reduce costs, and enhance profitability.
• Provide commercial insight into pricing models, stock management, procurement decisions, and operational performance.
• Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and decision-making tools for executives.
• Maintain a robust control environment across cash, debtors, creditors, banking, payroll, and stock.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and governance requirements.
• Partner with ops, technology, and data teams to leverage AI-driven insights for smarter decisions.

• Overseeing cash flow, working capital, funding requirements, and liquidity management

• Providing commercial insight into pricing models, stock management, procurement decisions, and operational performance
• Developing financial dashboards, KPIs, and decision-making tools for executive leadership
• Maintaining a robust control environment across cash, debtors, creditors, banking, payroll, and stock
• Ensuring compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and corporate governance requirements
• Partnering with operational, technology, and data teams to leverage technology and AI-driven insights that support smarter business decisions

Skills & Experience

• 8+years’ experience in a similar position
• Strong management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop high-performing finance teams
• Comfortable working with IT, data, and operations teams to implement AI-enabled tools and validate outputs against real commercial results
• Hands-on, deadline-driven, detail-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-volume trading environment
