CA Financial Appointments is recruiting a Financial Manager to join its finance team in Cape Town. The role focuses on ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement to support strategic decision-making.

You will drive monthly management accounts, cashflow management, tax compliance, and process improvements, while partnering with senior stakeholders and auditors to ensure robust controls and accurate financial information for strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Management of cashflow, working capital, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Tax compliance, including VAT and income tax reporting
• Financial performance analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders
• Liaison with auditors and support of annual audit processes
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and governance requirements
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
• Supporting new business initiatives and strategic projects through financial analysis and business case development

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial management and reporting activities of the business, ensuring accurate financial information, effective controls, and compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory requirements. The role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, tax, cashflow management, stakeholder engagement, and business performance analysis.
