Job summary

Srg Recruitment (Pty) Ltd invites applications for a hands-on Financial Controller to manage the day-to-day finance function for a national client based in Durban North. The ideal candidate will hold a BCom in Accounting/Finance and have previous Financial Controller experience in a small team setting.

You will oversee debtors and creditors, cash flow, reconciliations and monthly management reporting, ensure SARS submissions are completed timeously, maintain fixed asset records and coordinate

Job description

A national client is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to manage the day-to-day finance function. The ideal candidate should have a BCom in Accounting/Finance, previous Financial Controller experience, strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills. The role would suit someone who is comfortable working in a small finance team, with two staff members reporting to them, and who enjoys a hands-on, operational environment. Proficiency in MS Office, a valid driver's licence and own transport are essential.

Responsibilities - must have:

• Manage debtors, creditors, cash flow and working capital
• Oversee reconciliations, journals and monthly management reporting
• Ensure SARS and statutory submissions are completed timeously
• Maintain fixed asset and insurance records
• Manage and support the finance team
• Coordinate the annual external audit
