Job summary

FROGG Recruitment in Paarl, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function and drive cost savings and efficiencies within the business. The role requires a BCom or higher and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong emphasis on IFRS, reporting and audit coordination.

You will manage the finance team, oversee budgeting, forecasts, and cash flow, and ensure timely monthly management reports and accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Accounting or financial qualification required.
• Experience in management accounting preferred.
• SAICA/SAIPA qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years as Financial Controller/Financial Manager.
• Solid financial management and reporting abilities.
• Ability to drive financial targets.
• Experience in IFRS.
• Experience preparing financial statements.
• Experience completing audits with auditors.

Responsibilities

• Manage the finance team, debtors, creditors and accounting.
• Drive finance and cost management across departments.
• Compile and report on management accounts.
• Prepare monthly management reports and analyze results.
• Oversee the compilation of accurate monthly accounts.
• Ensure close procedures and P&L review, including reconciliations.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and cashflow.
• Own the annual financial audit process.

Our client in Paarl is looking for an experienced Financial Controller with 5 years’ experience. You need a Bcom degree or higher to qualify. You will be responsible for managing the overall financial function of the business and work on cost savings and efficiencies.

Salary Negotiable including medical aid pension

Min Requirements

• Accounting / Financial Qualification
• Preferably management accountant experience
• SAICA or SAIPA is an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 experience as a Financial Controller / Financial manager.
• You must have solid financial management and reporting abilities
• The ability to drive financial targets
• Experienced in IFRS
• Able to work on financial statements
• Completing Audit files and yearly audits with auditors

Responsibilities

• Management of the finance team, debtors, creditors and accounting
• Drive manages and be responsible for all finance and costings – efficiency in all departments.
• Compile and report on management accounts
• Preparation and distribution of monthly management reports and analysis of results
• Oversee the compilation of accurate monthly accounts
• Ensure appropriate financial close procedures are in line, including account reconciliations, a full review of P & L including overhead accounts etc.
• Managing and compiling Budgets, forecasts, and cashflow
• Management and ownership of the Annual Financial Audit process
