Job summary

IMR Resources India Pvt Ltd in Johannesburg, Gauteng, seeks a seasoned financial professional to lead group consolidations and IFRS reporting. You will consolidate financial information from subsidiaries, manage monthly, quarterly and annual closes, and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance across the group.

The role requires strong IFRS knowledge, intercompany reconciliations, and ERP system experience (SAGE/Pastel/SAP/Oracle).

Qualifications

• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable accounting standards.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end group reporting.
• Consolidate financial information from subsidiaries/group companies.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of financial information.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations and eliminations.
• Review and analyse group financial results, trends and variances.
• Prepare cost sheets for operating mines, including Sedibeng Iron Ore and Koedoeskloof Mine.
• Prepare financial reports and quarterly Board packs.
• Ensure accurate submissions to SARS, Statistics South Africa and other regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate and support statutory and external audits and liaise with auditors.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting and group-level financial analysis.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain and finalise critical financial inputs.
• Improve group reporting processes, cost controls, accounting systems and internal controls.
• Oversee accounting software/ERP migrations across group companies.
• Review monthly invoice batches before CEO approval.
• Review supplier reconciliations and prepare memoranda for senior management.
• Process local and foreign bank payments when required.
• Handle ad hoc financial/accounting responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Description

Computer Competency I Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Proficiency in financial-reporting software and accounting or ERP systems such as SAGE, Pastel, SAP, Oracle or a similar system.
