Job summary

Network Recruitment International seeks a CA(SA) Group Reporting Accountant for a fast-growing African financial services group in Stellenbosch. You will consolidate monthly/quarterly/annual accounts across entities, ensure IFRS compliance and robust reporting controls.

You will partner with country finance teams and senior leadership to drive process improvements, multi-currency consolidations, and group-wide financial reporting standards.

Qualifications

  • CA(SA) qualification or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in financial reporting, group reporting, or consolidation environments.
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and reporting principles.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements across multiple entities/currencies.
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidated financial statements.
  • Review country finance reporting for accuracy, consistency and IFRS compliance.
  • Research and resolve complex technical accounting matters in line with IFRS and applicable legislation.
  • Assist with year-end external audit coordination across multiple entities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and group-level variance analysis.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and enhancements to the financial control environment.
  • Assist with statutory, tax, and secretarial reporting across the group.
  • Develop standardized reporting templates, tools, and processes for cross-country use.
  • Provide guidance and training to finance teams on best practices in financial reporting.
  • Assist with ERP system administration and finance system optimization.
  • Contribute to group reporting projects and strategic finance initiatives.

As the Group Reporting Accountant, you will play a key role within the Group Finance function, supporting the delivery of accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions. Working closely with senior finance leadership and country finance teams, you will ensure reporting consistency, compliance with IFRS, and the ongoing development of robust reporting processes and controls.

This role offers exposure to complex multi-currency consolidations, technical accounting matters, group audits, budgeting and forecasting initiatives, ERP systems, and strategic finance projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Review reporting submitted by country finance teams, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Research and resolve complex technical accounting matters in accordance with IFRS and applicable legislation.
  • Assist with the management of the year-end external audit process and coordinate requests across multiple entities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and group-level variance analysis.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhancements to the financial control environment.
  • Assist with statutory, tax, and secretarial reporting requirements across the group.
  • Develop standardised reporting templates, tools, and processes for use across multiple countries.
  • Provide guidance and training to finance teams on financial reporting best practices.
  • Support the administration and optimisation of finance systems and ERP platforms.
  • Assist with group reporting projects and strategic finance initiatives.
Job Experience and Skills Required
  • Registered CA(SA)
  • Previous experience within a financial reporting, group reporting, or consolidation environment.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements.
  • Experience working with multi-entity and/or multi-currency reporting structures will be advantageous.
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms would be beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
