Job summary

Network Finance in Gauteng is seeking a newly qualified CA(SA) for an influential group finance role. You will support consolidated financial reporting, and governance, and play a key part in executive decision-making.

The position offers exposure to complex group structures and the chance to liaise with senior leadership. Candidates should have 2-3 years post-qualification experience, expertise in IFRS, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years post‑qualification experience (CA(SA)).
  • Experience in group reporting and consolidations essential.
  • Exposure to IFRS technical accounting strongly advantageous.
  • Mergers & acquisitions and PPA experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review group consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes across the group.
  • Assist with technical accounting matters and IFRS compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to consolidation adjustments and intercompany eliminations.
  • Support financial analysis and reporting for executive decision‑making.
  • Assist with due diligence processes, mergers and acquisitions, and PPA.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Drive accuracy, integrity, and improvement of financial reporting processes.

Skills

Strong IFRS technical accounting knowledge
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
SAP or other ERP system experience
Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Education

The successful candidate will play a key role in the group finance function, supporting consolidated reporting, financial governance, and strategic decision‑making at executive level. This role offers exposure to complex group structures, high-level reporting, and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, including the Group CFO. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified CA(SA) looking to step into a challenging and influential group finance role where initiative, technical strength and impact are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review group consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes across the group
  • Assist with technical accounting matters and IFRS compliance requirements
  • Contribute to consolidation adjustments and intercompany eliminations
  • Support financial analysis and reporting for executive decision‑making
  • Assist with due diligence processes, mergers and acquisitions, and purchase price allocations (PPAs) where applicable
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure timely completion of audit processes across the group
  • Drive accuracy, integrity, and improvement of financial reporting processes
Education
  • Minimum NQF Level 8 (CA(SA) qualification)
  • Completed SAICA articles / training contract
Experience
  • 2–3 years post‑qualification experience (CA(SA))
  • Experience in group reporting and consolidations essential
  • Exposure to IFRS technical accounting strongly advantageous
