Job summary

Absa Bank seeks an experienced Finance Lead for Business Banking Technology & Digital to provide strategic financial leadership and commercial challenge. You will oversee technology run costs, cloud, applications, software licensing and vendor spend, turning complex tech decisions into clear financial insights to guide investments and cost optimisation.

Your remit includes FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and developing end-to-end economic models.

Qualifications

• Finance and commercial FP&A, budgeting and forecasting.
• Business-case development and investment appraisal.
• TCO modelling and cost allocation expertise.
• Commercial/vendor analysis and contract renewal support.
• Advanced financial modelling for technology portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Own financial planning, forecasting and performance management for Technology portfolio.
• Develop transparency of technology costs across apps, platforms and infrastructure.
• Provide financial challenge on build vs buy, migrate vs retain and invest vs decommission decisions.
• Analyse cloud economics, pricing and consumption to optimise spend.
• Translate technology architecture choices into financial outcomes for Exco.
• Partner with Technology leaders on investment priorities and business cases.
