Job summary

Absa Group Limited in Mafikeng seeks a FinTech Innovation Strategist to lead conception, design, and launch of next-generation digital payment solutions, aligning with strategic objectives and collaborating with product, engineering, risk, compliance and marketing.

You will translate emerging fintech trends into actionable roadmaps, manage external partners and regulators, and drive measurable value for customers and the bank through agile development and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Five+ years in fintech product development, digital banking, or financial services innovation.
Proven track record launching digital payments products or platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead market research and develop business cases for fintech products.
Develop go-to-market strategies and financial models.
Lead agile product development from ideation to launch.
Define product specifications, user journeys, and integration requirements.
Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management throughout the product lifecycle.
Manage relationships with fintech startups, technology vendors, and industry consortia.
Monitor product performance and iterate to drive adoption.
Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and board committees.
