Job summary

Takealot.com, South Africa’s leading online retailer, is seeking a Finance Intern for an 18-month contract at the Cape Town Central Office. The role involves collecting and analysing financial and operational data to support decisions, preparing reports and dashboards, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.

Requirements include an N6 certificate in Finance or related field, strong MS Office skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Collect, analyse, and interpret financial and operational data to support business decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and provide clear insights.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and performance analysis.
Assist with process improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis.
Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as required.
