Job summary

Rory Mackie & Associates seeks a Finance Administrator to oversee day-to-day finances for a Zimbabwe-based client, reporting to the CFO in Cape Town. The role covers cash management, payroll, supplier payments, and statutory compliance in Zimbabwe, in a multi-currency environment.

The successful candidate will maintain accounting records to trial balance, manage bank reconciliations, and provide reliable financial information to executive management in a regulated environment across borders.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance; a professional qualification (ACCA, CIS or ICAZ), complete or in progress, is advantageous.
• Three to five years' hands-on experience in a full-function finance role covering cash management, payroll and creditors; non-profit, healthcare or residential care experience is advantageous.
• Proven working knowledge of Zimbabwean payroll and statutory requirements (ZIMRA e-filing, NSSA, ZIMDEF, NEC) and multi-currency accounting.
• Proficient in a recognised accounting package, payroll software and Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage cash and banking in USD and ZiG, forecast cash flows and submit funding requests on time.
• Run monthly payroll and statutory deductions; reconcile to GL and issue payslips.
• Process supplier invoices, maintain creditors age analysis and supplier reconciliations.
• Ensure ZIMRA/NSSA/NEC/other statutory returns are filed on time and accurate.
• Maintain accounting records to trial balance; assist with budgeting and audits.
