Job summary

FROGG Recruitment presents a Finance Administrator/Bookkeeper role in Plattekloof, Cape Town. The position requires hands-on experience with Pastel Partner and Excel, handling debtors, creditors, and daily reconciliations to keep financial information accurate.

You will perform daily bookkeeping tasks, bank reconciliations, and assist the accounting firm when needed, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and landlords while maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Matric and a financial/bookkeeping certificate diploma – an added bonus.
• 3-5 years’ Experience with Pastel Partner and
• 3-5 years’ experience as a finance administrator/bookkeeping
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Ability to maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Software experience on Pastel Payroll & Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Debtors and Creditors

Responsibilities

• Daily bookkeeping/finance duties on Pastel Partner
• Do daily Cash Up Checks by Obtaining daily figures from the stores you will working with.
• Debtors & Creditors
• Reconciliations Statements before monthly payments are being made.
• Making Payments on a weekly basis to Suppliers and monthly Basis to Landlords and send out proof of payments.
• Capturing / Importing of bank statements in Pastel on a weekly basis and do the correct expense/income allocations.
• Bank reconciliations and processing of financial transactions.
• Processing of Monthly General Journals on a monthly basis
• Performing General Ledger account reconciliations.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Provide administrative and bookkeeping support to the finance team
