Placements24 seeks a skilled Telecommunications Equipment Installer to join the Kimberley operations team. The role covers installation, configuration, and testing of telecom hardware on-site, following technical specs and safety standards.

Strong technical aptitude and hands-on approach are essential for delivering high-quality telecoms installations in a growing market. The position requires diligence, problem-solving, and the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Experience as an equipment installer in the telecoms industry.
• Familiarity with installing and configuring network hardware.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, connect, and commission telecoms equipment (routers, switches, servers, base stations).
• Run and terminate fiber optic and copper cabling per industry standards.
• Perform system tests and diagnostics after installation.
• Troubleshoot on-site installation issues and resolve them promptly.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and manuals.
