Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Telecom Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust telecommunications infrastructure in Mahikeng. You will ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of network assets as the North West region expands and enhances services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in telecom infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of wireless communication systems (GSM, LTE, 5G), transmission technologies (microwave, fiber), and power systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage telecommunications infrastructure, including cell towers, microwave links, and fiber optic backhaul.
• Perform site acquisition, civil works, and installation supervision for new network deployments.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and prevent failures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to network hardware and transmission systems.
• Develop and implement strategies for network capacity planning and upgrades.
