Job description

We are currently recruiting a Field Technician to be based in Eastern Cape (Gqeberha) for a six (6) months fixed-term contract. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the installations and maintenance of vehicle tracking and fleet management units and any additional EKS products.

Responsibilities

• Installing, repairing, or servicing company products.
• Complying with administration task requirements.
• Liaising with the Control Room, Testing, and Scheduling departments.
• Maintenance of tracking devices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Potential candidates must have experience in the installation and maintenance of tracking devices.
• Must be able to conduct a current draw.
• Excellent understanding of Fleet management and CAN bus connections.
• Vast knowledge of vehicle wiring.
• Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in installing and maintaining tracking and fleet management products.
• Good knowledge of motor vehicle electronics.
• Good fault‑finding skills and a good understanding of Fleet Management.
• Good client relations and communication skills.
• Must be a good team player, reliable, trustworthy, and have good ethics.
• Must be willing to travel (valid code 8 driver’s licence).
• Must be willing to work extra hours.
• Strong troubleshooting capability.
• Must be able to use MS Word and Excel (computer literate).

Contract Details

Six (6) months fixed-term contract.
