Job summary

CVQuest in Cape Town seeks a field technician/field engineer for an on-site role in Blackheath. A Millwright/Electrical/Mechanical qualification with 5 years' experience is required to generate reports and train staff locally and internationally.

You will provide technical support, develop a database of technical information, and travel nationally and internationally for training, projects, commissioning and fault finding. Strong MS Office and English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Millwright / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical/manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to write detailed reports.
• Excellent planning, organisational and client interaction skills.
• Business English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Solid attendance record with sound references.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong adherence to quality and H&S standards.
• Valid driver’s license and passport for travelling both locally and internationally.
• Live in Western Cape.

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading player in the FMCG, production and manufacturing sectors, is seeking a skilled Field Technician / Field Engineer to join their on-site team in Blackheath, Cape Town. The successful candidate will need a Millwright / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering qualification with 5 years’ experience generating reports and training people (locally and internationally) in a technical / manufacturing environment.

Only candidates already in the Western Cape will be considered.

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
