Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative servicing on a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, providing timely and effective repair solutions.
• Install, calibrate, and commission new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and client requirements.
• Conduct site assessments and prepare detailed reports on equipment condition, maintenance performed, and recommendations for improvement.
• Respond to urgent service calls and emergency breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory of spare parts.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar technical role, preferably within an industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record is essential for travel to various client sites in and around Midrand, Gauteng .
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as required by service demands.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
• Relevant technical qualification or trade certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering is highly desirable.
