Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our installation and maintenance team in Johannesburg. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain systems onsite for a diverse client base across Gauteng.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, excellent communication, and the ability to travel within the Johannesburg area. A technical qualification is advantageous and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems relevant to the equipment serviced.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and hand tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record with ability to travel within Johannesburg.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain a variety of technical equipment and systems according to specifications.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective repair solutions.
• Respond to service calls and customer requests in a timely and professional manner, providing clear communication throughout the process.
