Job summary

Alfa Laval MESEA is looking for a Field Service Team Manager to lead the Service Operations in the Eastern and Southern Africa region. You will oversee a team of Field Service Engineers, driving transformation, ensuring operational capability, and balancing customer, business and team needs.

You will mentor and develop the team, implement KPI-driven improvements, and manage remote teams with a focus on QHSE and timely invoicing.

Qualifications

• You should have a degree/diploma in Engineering or Similar.
• At least 5 years of experience managing teams of technicians/engineers.
• Strong experience in Service, maintenance, repair, and assistance process.
• Exceptional time management/organizational skills.
• We value knowledge in Alfa Laval equipment’s.
• Strong Communication & Presentation Skills.
• Solid Computer and Digital Competence.

Responsibilities

• Secure a strong QHSE culture within the team.
• Lead the team giving directions and ensuring that they are performing with a strong customer orientated mindset.
• Ensure that FSEs with the correct skills are selected in close cooperation with coordinators for complex jobs.
• Ensure that the team are equipped with the right tools and the tools are fit for purposes.
• Develop, motivate, and coach direct reports and secure a proper competence development
• Manage basic performance issues within the team appropriately and quickly.
• Conduct FSE’s employee reviews, include competence profile and skills matrix updates accordingly
• Ensure effective management of people in remote areas
• Ensure proper handover of jobs for invoicing on time
• Implement continuous efficiency improvements utilizing innovative processes and technologies.
• Leading change management to adapt to new market demands.
• Implement and follow up on relevant KPIs to measure and improve performance.
