Placements24 seeks a hands-on Field Installation Technician to install and commission systems at customer sites in Soweto. You will read technical docs, test configurations, and ensure systems operate to spec while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires practical troubleshooting, effective communication with clients, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in Gauteng. Tools and safety gear are provided, and travel within Soweto is expected.

Qualifications

Experience in field installation roles, ideally within Installation & Maintenance.
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within Soweto.
Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills for on-site client interactions.

Responsibilities

Install systems and equipment at customer premises per blueprints and procedures.
Configure and test installed systems for functionality and quality.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation and perform repairs as needed.
Maintain detailed logs of installation activities and site challenges.
Provide basic end-user guidance and initial support on installed systems.
Ensure installations comply with regulations and company policies.
