Job summary

TOMRA Food is seeking a Field Service Engineer to ensure seamless operation of cutting‑edge sorting systems and to provide top‑notch customer service across installations, testing, and maintenance. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrotechnical or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Proven on-site preventive and corrective maintenance experience for industrial customers.
  • Solid understanding of IT, networking, and PC configuration.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently deliver field service work to meet cost and time objectives.
  • Ensure optimal performance of TOMRA Food sorting machines to exceed customer expectations.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, conducting necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to enhance customer support processes.
  • Conduct installations and adjustments to TOMRA Food equipment as required.
  • Provide comprehensive training to customers on the operations and maintenance of our systems.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed field reports to guide administrative follow‑up procedures.
  • Willing to travel abroad for at least 80% of the time, based on a flexible schedule.

Job Description

Join our dynamic team at TOMRA Food as a Field Service Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our cutting‑edge food sorting systems. We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to take on the challenge of providing top‑notch customer service, encompassing commissioning, operation, testing, integration, optimisation, maintenance, training, and repair activities primarily in France.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently deliver field service work to meet cost and time objectives.
  • Ensure optimal performance of TOMRA Food sorting machines to exceed customer expectations.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, conducting necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to enhance customer support processes.
  • Conduct installations and adjustments to TOMRA Food equipment as required.
  • Provide comprehensive training to customers on the operations and maintenance of our systems.

  • Willing to travel abroad for at least 80% of the time, based on a flexible schedule. This means it could be also during weekends or in holiday seasons.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degreein Electronics, Electrotechnical, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent of minimum 3 years of experience in related field
  • Fluent in English + other languages are a plus.
  • Proven experience in on‑site preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting industrial customers.
  • Good understanding of IT, networking, and PC configuration.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.

  • Work equipment including laptop and cell phone subscription provided
  • 6-month probation period
  • Notice period according to the Basic Conditions of Employment Act
  • Annual leave: 21 working days (after 5 years continuous service an additional 5 days annual leave provided)
