Cummins Inc. is seeking an Engine Workshop/Field Service Technician - Apprentice in Johannesburg, Gauteng, SA. You will assist with workshop operations, learn repair techniques, and document work while developing skills in diagnostics and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• NSC (Matric) with Grade 12 as the matriculation grade.
• N6 Mechanical Engineering certificate with four subjects passed (Maths/Mechanics/Engineering Drawing and Design or Power Machines/Physics).
• N2/N3 Engineering studies certificate with Maths and Engineering subjects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general workshop activities and accurate documentation.
• Repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products, disassemble/assemble engines or power generators.
• Translate customer issues into troubleshooting plans and document results.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures and maintain tools in good condition.
• Travel as required by the role and report to the supervisor.
