Cummins Inc. is seeking an Engine Workshop/Field Service Technician Apprentice in Limpopo, Lephalale, South Africa. This opening focuses on hands-on repair, maintenance, and learning standard repair times in a dynamic distribution environment.

You will assist workshop operations, handle basic repairs, and contribute to safety, documentation, and skills development through structured training aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Matric NSC with grade 12.
• N6 Mechanical Engineering certificate with four subjects including Mathematics and Engineering-related subjects.
• N2/N3 Engineering studies certificate with Mathematics and Engineering theory.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in repairing and maintaining mechanical/electrical products and assist with disassembly/assembly of engines or power generators.
• Translate customer issues into troubleshooting steps and document results for records.
• Follow safe work procedures and apply mechanical principles to diagnose and repair products.
• Possess a valid driver’s licence and be comfortable travelling as required.
• Assist with workshop documentation and time sheets to ensure accurate records.
