Qualifications

• Matric / Senior Certificate essential.
• Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or related field advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years' sales experience advantageous.
• Experience in waste management/environmental industry preferred.
• Proven track record in a sales environment.
• Strong business development and cold-calling abilities.
• Excellent client relationship management skills.
• Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Valid EB driver's licence essential.
• Ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cold calls in line with targets.
• Develop new business and grow revenue within allocated markets.
• Maintain regular contact with existing clients via service and calls.
• Build and maintain professional client relationships.
• Conduct market research and surveys with clients.
• Monitor, record and assist with resolving client complaints.
• Obtain waste samples, arrange analysis, liaise with disposal facilities.
• Be main contact for overdue payments.
• Coordinate communication with clients on service matters.
• Prepare and submit quotations and proposals.
• Ensure only approved price lists are used.
• Keep clients informed through company materials.
• Provide service-related statistics and monthly client reports.
• Visit A- and B-grade clients as agreed.
• Monitor client satisfaction and identify up-sell opportunities.
• Work with sales, admin, logistics, fleet, and disposal-site teams.
