Job summary

The South African Breweries in George seeks a Business Development Representative to drive sales growth, expand market share, and deliver differentiated service to identified segments. The role focuses on achieving targets, distributor coordination, stock availability, and brand visibility in retail outlets.

Minimum requirements include a 3-year degree, 2+ years’ FMCG sales experience, and a valid Code 8 driver’s license, with strong admin and Excel skills. Local market knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-year degree qualification required.
• 2+ years of experience in a sales/marketing/FMCG environment preferred.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Local area knowledge is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for assigned areas.
• Manage and supervise Distributors (orders, payment, re-distribution).
• Ensure IB products are available in stock (complete range) in customers and retail outlets.
• Ensure merchandising (brand visibility) in the customers and retail outlets.
• Ensure chillers are properly placed and used exclusively for IBPLC products in the sector.
• Monitor the recommended price of our product at sales outlets.
• Closely monitor actions of the competition.
