Job summary

Herotel Telecoms (Pty) Ltd seeks a hands-on Technical Assistant in Klerksdorp, North West to support installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of fibre optic and wireless systems. You will assist Senior Technicians on installations and repairs, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency on every job.

The role involves site surveys, equipment mounting, cable management, CPE recovery, and routine maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Matric required (Grade 12).
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Good working knowledge of hand and power tools used in installations.
• Physically fit and able to work in heights and confined spaces.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site surveys, including signal scans and photos for equipment placement.
• Support installations by mounting brackets, cables, and running cables under guidance.
• Perform CPE recovery and tidy work sites.
• Participate in callout repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Keep tools and consumables organized in vehicles for daily operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at job sites and after installations.
