Job summary

Daisy Business Solutions is a hands-on IT Field Service Engineer role covering Johannesburg and Pretoria. You will install, configure and troubleshoot servers, workstations, routers, switches and LAN/WAN infrastructure, while working independently and mentoring junior engineers.

The position involves on-site customer support with a company vehicle provided, requiring strong hardware and networking knowledge and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5+ years hands-on IT support experience.
• 2 to 5 years in the office automation industry.
• Proven on-site hardware and software installation experience and network setup.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware including servers and workstations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware at customer sites.
• Install and update software applications and operating systems for customers.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults on-site.
• Set up, maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks and connectivity.
• Test and quality-check IT systems and replace faulty hardware components.
• Create and maintain network documentation and site credentials.
• Respond to emergency calls and critical outages as part of on-call support.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with architects and security teams.
