Job summary

WhatJobs Direct is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Planner to join our Installation & Maintenance team serving the Queenstown, Eastern Cape region. This field-based role focuses on developing, scheduling, and coordinating planned maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation of industrial assets.

The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance knowledge, excellent organization, and the ability to work with technical teams and client management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling or related role within industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of maintenance best practices (preventive/predictive).
• Proficiency with CMMS or similar planning software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance plans for industrial equipment.
• Schedule and coordinate all planned maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
• Create detailed work orders with scope, parts, tools, and labor estimates.
• Manage maintenance scheduling software and databases, ensuring data accuracy.
• Coordinate with site managers, technicians, and vendors for maintenance efforts.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Track maintenance costs and assist in budget management.
• Participate in RCA and implement corrective actions.
• Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance strategies.
