Job summary

Constantia Fertiliser, part of the TWK Group, seeks a Fertiliser Sales Agent in Secunda, Mpumalanga to promote and sell fertiliser solutions to farming customers.

You will provide expert product recommendations, support customers through the sales journey, and identify new business opportunities while delivering tailored fertiliser programmes.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (sales, management, agriculture) preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in the fertiliser industry.
• BASOS certificate advantageous.
• Good negotiation skills expected.
• Team player with self-discipline and drive.
• Strong computer literacy and reliability.
• Own transport is required.

Responsibilities

• Promoting and selling fertiliser products to agricultural customers with expert recommendations.
• Identify new business opportunities and support customers through the sales process.
• Coordinate fertiliser orders and ensure accurate quantities and delivery schedules.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance and address customer inquiries.
• Maintain positive relationships to secure future sales.
• Develop cost estimates and proposals for fertiliser programs tailored to crop needs.

Constantia Fertiliser, part of the TWK Group, has the following vacancy available: Fertiliser Sales Agent at Secunda, Mpumalanga.

Job Summary

This role involves promoting and selling fertiliser products to agricultural customers by providing expert product recommendations and customised fertiliser solutions and identify new business opportunities, support customers throughout the sales process, and ensure the successful implementation of fertiliser programmes.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Developing a deep understanding of various fertiliser products, their compositions, benefits, and application methods
• Utilising fertiliser expertise to recommend suitable products and application strategies that align with the customer’s agricultural goals
• Coordinating fertiliser orders, ensuring accurate quantities and delivery schedules are met
• Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, addressing customer inquiries and concerns
• Maintaining positive business relationships to future sales
• Developing cost estimates and proposals for fertiliser programs tailored to customers crop needs and budgets
• Basic fertiliser programs (Wheat, Canola, Barley, Oats, Lupins, Luzern and Cover crops)
• Taking of soil and leaf samples
• Crop monitoring during the growing season
