Job summary

A leading fashion retailer is hiring a Store Supervisor for a new store at Garden Route Mall in George, South Africa. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong sales focus, and a passion for customer service to deliver a premium shopping experience.

You will supervise daily operations, motivate the team, manage stock and POS systems, and ensure health and safety standards are met. Immediate availability is preferred and previous branded retail experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• 2–4 years' supervisory experience in fashion/retail.
• Proven experience leading retail sales team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily store operations.
• Lead, motivate and coach the sales team to achieve targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and a premium shopping experience.
• Drive sales through product knowledge, promotions, and customer engagement.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and development.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and scheduling of store staff.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained.
• Manage stock, stock takes, replenishment and loss prevention.
• Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Monitor store housekeeping and health & safety compliance.
• Open and close the store in accordance with procedures.
• Prepare daily sales reports and assist with admin duties.
• Ensure company policies and standards are adhered to.
