About the Role

Our client, an established agricultural producer with significant operations in the Sandton agricultural hinterland, is seeking a diligent and experienced Farm Production Supervisor. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily cultivation and harvesting activities of specific crop sections within the farm. The ideal candidate will possess practical knowledge of agronomic practices, crop management, and the supervision of field teams. You will ensure that all production activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with the company's quality standards. This is a hands‑on supervisory position that requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maximizing crop yield and quality. You will work closely with farm managers and labourers to achieve production targets in the dynamic agricultural environment near Sandton .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of farm labourers involved in planting, cultivation, pest control, and harvesting.
• Ensure that all farming operations are conducted according to established protocols and best practices.
• Monitor crop growth and health, reporting any issues or deviations to the Farm Manager.
• Implement irrigation schedules and ensure efficient water application.
• Oversee the application of fertilizers and pesticides as per the farm’s plan, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within assigned production areas.
• Ensure the safe use and maintenance of farm equipment and tools used by the team.
• Train and mentor farm labourers on specific tasks and safety procedures.
• Assist in record‑keeping related to planting, harvesting, inputs, and labour hours.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred.
