About the Role

Our client, a reputable agricultural producer specializing in horticultural crops, is looking for a dedicated Farm Supervisor to manage operations in their Randburg facility. This hands‑on role involves overseeing the day‑to‑day cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of high-value produce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture and proven experience in leading a team of farm workers to achieve optimal production and quality standards. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient resource management, adherence to best practices, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment in the Gauteng province. We seek an individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing premium quality fruits and vegetables.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in farm supervision or a similar role, with a specialization in horticultural crops.
• Strong knowledge of horticulture, including crop physiology, propagation, pest and disease management, and post-harvest handling.
• Proven experience in managing and motivating a team of farm workers.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and fertilization techniques relevant to horticultural crops.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to identify plant diseases and pests and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to seasonal demands.
