Job summary

Dis‑Chem Life in South Africa seeks a FAIS Supervisor to support the Team Leader and KI by monitoring FAIS compliance across advisor sales activities and ensuring ethical, regulatory-aligned practices. You will conduct monthly competency assessments and provide detailed reports to aid decision-making.

You will report to the Head of Legal and Compliance, maintaining supervision records and identifying training needs to mitigate regulatory risk and protect customers.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance Oversight: monitor FAIS compliance across advisor activities and ensure adherence to FAIS and legal standards.
• Competency Assessments and Supervision Management: develop supervision plans, conduct evaluations, maintain the competency register, track RE exams and CPD progress.
• Sales Activity Monitoring: review advisor sales for accuracy and ethical practices, identify misrepresentation risks and ensure proper disclosures.
• DOFA Vetting & Supervision Documentation: perform DOFA checks, draft supervision agreements, provide structured feedback, and extend inputs to other advisors as needed.
