Job summary

Dis-Chem Life is seeking an FAIS Supervisor to support the Team Leader and KI in ensuring that financial advisors adhere to FAIS requirements and regulatory standards. The role reports to Head of Legal and Compliance and offers mentorship aimed at transitioning into a KI role.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of FAIS and regulatory standards.
• Ability to monitor and assess compliance and competency.
• Experience in coaching financial advisors toward independence.
• Familiarity with DOFA vetting, RE Exams and CPD progress.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance Oversight: monitor advisors for FAIS compliance and ethical conduct.
• Competency Assessments and Supervision Management: create supervision plans and evaluate performance.
• Sales Activity Monitoring: review advisor activities to prevent mis-selling and ensure legal standards.
• Reporting And Feedback: produce monthly compliance reports with actionable recommendations.
• Communication With Financial Advisors: deliver clear feedback and set performance expectations.
• Financial Advisors And Training: coach advisors to progress toward independent operation.
• Documentation And Record Keeping: maintain accurate assessment records for audits.
• Risk Mitigation: identify risks and recommend corrective actions to reduce exposure.
