Job summary

Manyin2one Recruitment is seeking a hands-on manufacturing administrator for a bolts/nuts/fasteners facility in South Africa. You will ensure materials are inspected, orders are produced to spec, and records are kept up to date.

The role requires updating Letsap and Chalmers systems and ensuring staff are competent with proper onboarding and training. You will calibrate measuring equipment, complete tickets and inspections, handle returns, and drive continuous improvement through non-conformity

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and Excel proficiency.
• Experience with order planning, tracking and expediting.
• Ability to update and maintain production records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Ensure raw material is inspected and properly identified and records maintained.
• Ensure jobs are manufactured according to specification and delivered on time.
• Update Letsap tickets and Chalmers system with latest information.
• Ensure employees are competent, onboarded with training records.
• Calibrate/verify measuring equipment and maintain tool records.
• Complete tickets, job cards and inspection documentation.
• Address customer returns and provide feedback for improvements.
• Prepare and participate in regular toolbox talks and training.
• Manage Preventive Maintenance Program for equipment.
• Ensure proper stock control and timely reordering of consumables.

Job description

(Bolts/Nuts/Fastener Industry)

1. Ensure raw material is inspected and properly identified, maintain records.
2. Ensure jobs are manufactured according to specification. Orders to be supplied on time.
3. Ensure systems are updated with the latest information (Letsap tickets, Chalmers system).
4. Ensure employees are competent for roles and are onboarded properly (job description, contract, training). Provide training (with records) if required.
5. Ensure all measuring equipment in use is calibrated/verified (tapes, gauges, scales).
6. Ensure documentation is fully completed: tickets, jobcards and inspections.
7. Ensure lifting equipment serviced/load tested.
8. Address customer returns/reworks and provide feedback.
9. Complete non conformity reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
10. Handle disciplinary issues: issue warnings according to procedure and record all warnings on the system.
11. Ensure quality and safety procedures are followed.
12. Provide regular training (e.g. daily/weekly toolbox talks) with factory employees, with records/meeting minutes.
13. Manage Preventive Maintenance Program.
14. Manage consumables - ensure items are controlled and orders are placed before it becomes urgent.
15. Must have basic computer skills and be able to work on excel to Update outstanding order and stock sheets with eta’s.
16. Must have Order planning, tracking, and expediting knowledge and skills.
