Job summary

Pronel Personnel seeks an experienced Factory Engineer in Mpumalanga to oversee plant engineering, maintenance, projects, infrastructure and compliance, with a focus on uptime and efficiency. You will manage budgets, contractors and teams, ensuring SHE and ISO/QMS compliance while driving productivity.

The role requires a BEng/BSc Eng (Mechanical or Electrical) or GCC – Factories, 6+ years of industrial plant experience including boiler operations, plus 5 years leading maintenance teams and

Qualifications

• Minimum BEng/BSc Eng (Mechanical or Electrical) with 2+ years' post-graduate plant experience and completion of the relevant OHS Act examination, OR GCC – Factories.
• Minimum 6 years' industrial plant experience, including boiler operations.
• Minimum 5 years' experience leading skilled maintenance teams.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with CMMS.
• 3–5 years' CAD experience and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• 3–5 years' ERP experience; SYSPRO advantageous.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant maintenance, repairs, construction and engineering projects.
• Manage contractors, site works, assets and engineering budgets.
• Ensure maximum plant uptime and minimum downtime.
• Oversee SHE compliance and adherence to OHS Act and relevant legislation.
• Manage plant, village and hostel utilities and infrastructure.
• Drive plant efficiency, productivity and quality.
• Lead and develop maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and Quality Management Systems.
