Job summary

Key Recruitment Group is recruiting a Factory Engineer for a well-established manufacturing plant near Piet Retief (Mkhondo), Mpumalanga. The role focuses on keeping the plant running efficiently by leading maintenance and engineering projects and managing uptime.

You hold a B.Eng or B.Sc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with GCC, plus 6 years of industrial plant experience, 5 years leading a maintenance team and CMMS management, and 3–5 years CAD experience.

Qualifications

• B.Eng/B.Sc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is essential.
• GCC factories certificate is essential.
• 6 years of practical experience in an industrial plant, including boiler knowledge.
• 5 years of leading a skilled maintenance team.
• 5 years’ experience managing a computerised maintenance system.
• 3–5 years experience using CAD or similar drawing programs.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage factory engineering projects, contractors and site work.
• Oversee repairs, maintenance and construction programs for uptime.
• Manage assets and budgets related to the site.
• Oversee safety, health and environment programs and ensure OHS compliance.
• Manage plant, village and hostel utilities and infrastructure.
• Drive efficiency, productivity and quality of plant and processes.
• Ensure effective performance of subordinates and teams.
• Comply with ISO and Quality management Systems.

Well-established manufacturing company is looking to employ a Factory Engineer at their plant near Piet Retief (Mkhondo), Mpumalanga.

For the position you would be required to have:

• B. Eng/ B. Sc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ESSENTIAL
• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) factories ESSENTIAL
• 6 years’ practical experience in an industrial plant, including knowledge of boiler operations.
• 5 years’ experience in leading a skilled maintenance team.
• 5 years’ experience in managing a computerised maintenance system.
• 3 -5 years of experience working on CAD or similar drawing programs.
• Ability to speak and write English and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Manage factory engineering projects, contractors and all site work.
• Manage the factory repairs, maintenance and construction programs to ensure optimal up time of the plant.
• Manage the company assets and budgets associated with same, related to the site.
• Manage the factory safety, health and environment programs and ensure legal compliance with the OHS Act and relevant government legislation.
• Manage the plant, village and hostel utilities and infrastructure.
• Ensure optimal efficiency, productivity and quality of plant and processes.
• Ensure effective performance of subordinates and teams.
• Comply with the requirements of ISO and Quality management Systems.

Salary around R1, 1m per annum + excellent benefits, including medical aid, pension, annual bonus, travel allowance and housing
