Job summary

The Key Recruitment Group is seeking a Factory Engineer for a well-established manufacturing plant near Piet Retief (Mkhondo), Mpumalanga. The role requires strong technical leadership and a proven track record in enhancing plant performance.

You will drive capital projects, oversee maintenance and safety programs, manage budgets and ensure ISO/QMS compliance to maximise uptime and efficiency at the site.

Qualifications

• B.Eng/ B. Sc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ESSENTIAL
• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) factories ESSENTIAL
• 6 years’ practical experience in an industrial plant, including knowledge of boiler operations.
• 5 years’ experience in leading a skilled maintenance team.
• 5 years’ experience in managing a computerised maintenance system.
• 3-5 years of experience working on CAD or similar drawing programs.
• Ability to speak and write English and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage factory engineering projects, contractors and all site work.
• Manage the factory repairs, maintenance and construction programs to ensure optimal up time of the plant.
• Manage the company assets and budgets associated with same, related to the site.
• Manage the factory safety, health and environment programs and ensure legal compliance with the OHS Act and relevant government legislation.
• Manage the plant, village and hostel utilities and infrastructure.
• Ensure optimal efficiency, productivity and quality of plant and processes.
• Ensure effective performance of subordinates and teams.
• Comply with the requirements of ISO and Quality management Systems.
