Job summary

Afrimat Industries (Pty) Ltd, Lichtenburg, is seeking a GCC Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in maintenance management within heavy industry to lead the Tswana Lime Quarry and Lovedale siding.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, GCC Mining, and proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams with a focus on maintenance planning, reliability, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; GCC Mining is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years in maintenance management in a heavy industrial environment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of safety, statutory, and engineering compliance requirements.
• Cement manufacturing experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead all engineering and maintenance activities at the Tswana Lime Quarry and Lovedale siding.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximise plant reliability and availability.
• Manage preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programmes.
• Lead shutdowns, major repairs, and capital projects.
• Manage maintenance budgets, resources, contractors, and engineering personnel.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, and company requirements.
• Work closely with production teams to achieve operational targets.
• Develop and mentor maintenance and engineering teams.
