Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with a focus on Facility Design to join a leading national retailer in Polokwane, Limpopo. The role combines on-site layout development with remote design analysis, ensuring efficient, safe spaces for distribution centers and retail support facilities.

You will lead layout design, model material flow, create CAD drawings and simulations, and collaborate with operations, safety, IT, and logistics to deliver feasible, cost-conscious

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years' experience in industrial engineering with facility layout/design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Experience with Arena or FlexSim for simulations.
• Strong understanding of material handling, warehousing, and supply chain.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and redesign of facility layouts for distribution centers, warehouses, and other operational sites.
• Develop material flow and space utilization strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Create CAD drawings, 3D models, and simulation models of proposed facility designs.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics, safety, and IT to gather requirements and ensure feasibility.
• Conduct site assessments and analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze equipment requirements, including conveyors, racking, and automation.
• Develop project scope, timelines, and budgets for facility design and modification projects.
• Ensure facility designs comply with safety regulations, building codes, and standards.
• Assist in the selection and procurement of facility-related equipment.
• Provide technical support during construction and implementation phases.
